Founded in 1970, the Ventura County Handweavers & Spinners Guild is an all volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the education and promotion of fiber arts, with a focus on weaving and spinning. With an active group approaching 80 members, the guild participates in community events and sponsors a variety of educational programs and workshops in a broad range of textile-related crafts. A fiber-related program is presented at each meeting often with a workshop continuing through the afternoon.
MEETING DETAILS:
Guild Meeting are held on the the 4th Saturday of each month at the Camarillo Senior Center.
*No Meeting November & December
Visitors and new members are always welcome - the morning program is free.

As a member of the guild, you will have access to all meetings and events.
Our plans for our March 25th program include Betty Villafana teaching us
how to weave Kumihimo braids! Come learn this Ancient Japanese
tradition and make a bracelet or a lanyard. There will be a charge ($15) and
if you want a specific color of bead, Michael’s has Size 8 or 6 beads for
sale. Betty will have the other supplies and some beads to select from. If
you missed the sign-up list at the Guild meeting, let Betty V. know you’re
interested so she can plan accordingly.
